Been looking at this whole tax side of trading now that i am making consistent profit this year... for next year obviously i am going to claim those profits on my taxes.. wanted to clarify... if i make 100,000 and claim that ontop of my 2 jobs that i work... how much of that is taxed in California? 😢 I might have to pay 20k back?

I watch dogs. I'm only initially trying to replace that work and reclaim my home. I'll pay taxes like earned income until I show success beyond my means if I make a good showing. I'm paper trading for the first few months to train the brain for losses and regulating emotion. So far, so good. I'm still above the initial capital.

I dont understand why somebody who consistently and easily makes money with their reading strategy goes to all this time and effort to share it with with the world and dilute their edge-

Quickest way to learn is loose money we all have been there.

I used cash account across 3 US accounts. Still kind of up/down in my win/loss, so working on consistent gains. Once I get there I may do a $1000 Overseas account like you suggest. PDT can be really helpful while learning to avoid too many losses and churn. I think if I had to do it again I would have started in paper trading first; I do intend to do that later to learn shorting at some point.

Been following you for like 5 plus years. You’re an exceptional trader. Make a change to break that pattern. Just take the day off or sit and observe that second day. Doesn’t have to be a permanent change, just break the pattern

Ross! I hope you see this. Recently, a saw a video that you listed some books in and the first one you listed had to do with positive mindset. You said it was the most important book to review period the next one was about chart analysis I believe. I think it was in a beginner trading video or red day.Recap i'm not sure. Either way i'm trying to make note of the book and have searched all your videos and can't seem to find it again. I wanted to read it. If this comment jogs your memory as to a few books you recommended with a positive mindset one being the first.Please let me know the title.

In 2001 before the PDT Trade rule the market was crazy volatile I remember my brother trading and making $1800 in 30 seconds from ETFs just from watch the 1000 point swings from the Dow Jones!! It Was out of control Any rule they make is designed to take money from us. I don’t believe they want to protect any retail money. For example, why do they halt stocks going up? Who are they protecting? And then it’s halted at specific levels for example, if a stock dumps hard , when it comes back up to that same level they halt it again. Why? Because they know when trading resumes retail will sell off again, this keeps the price down. I just saw this last week with symbol LSDI. It dumped, and then when it started to run up, they halted it right at those resistance levels. This is no coincidence Retail cannot locate most of those shares to short, so who are they protecting? The whole thing is rigged it’s hard enough to make money without them manipulating the market.

These pc’s are more expensive than what you need for trading. In my opinion, building your own pc is the only way to go. Its learning curve is small… as only certain things plug into their own plugs on the pc. I built my own pc and just upgraded its harddrive to 16 terabytes so i could install all my videogames on one pc. Solid state drives are way faster but i was tired of having small capacity. There are onlly a few factors when buying computer parts… make sure the motherboard is compatible with the cpu… use thermal paste on the cpu before connecting the heat sync… and make sure your motherboard comes with the connections you need…buy a graphics card that has displayport connections but only if your monitor has it too. Get a monitor that can do 144 hz. And as always buy trusted brands like logitech, gigabyte, asus and or just become a master with newegg’s product filters on their site to find the best products.
